Cookie is a crusty, comically inept geological surveyor. Bender met him when he was on a train to a railroad camp, in 3013. [7ACV14] Dr Beeler's 3-D printer later made a copy of him, after Bender presumably wrote him into his song.
Leela seems to have met him too.
